Want to help organise Europe's first student-run science-based conference?

Joining the York Science Conference is more than a CV point. We actively help students gain valuable experience that enriches their university experience, and improve their employability. Whether you are a coding whiz or just looking for new challenges, our wide range of opportunities will accommodate virtually everyone!

Students from any degree course can apply! We have had students from nine different departments ranging from Biology to Economics join us in the past.

Committee members must be a student at the University of York for the 2020/21 academic year.

- Recruitment Process -

Stage 1:

Online Application

Fill in our application form for your desired role and a member of our team will review and get back to you as soon as possible. All candidates will hear back by 20th February 2020.

Stage 2:

Face-to-Face Interview

Impress us? You will be invited to a face-to-face interview with a committee member. These can be physical or online depending on what is more convenient for you. All interviews will take place from  Saturday 22nd - Sunday 23rd February. 

Stage 3:
