Poppy Martin

Poppy Martin is a Research Scientist working within RF Networks and Communications group at QinetiQ. Her main areas of research involve RF propagation modelling and the development of ionospheric tools and models. Poppy completed a PhD in Radio Astronomy at the University of Southampton in 2016. Her PhD investigated how how the ionosphere affects radio observations using a range of instruments, including radio telescopes (e.g. LOFAR) and incoherent scatter radars (e.g. EISCAT). She primarily investigated the effects of absorption, phase error and Faraday rotation on radio observations.
